Directorate Changes and Management Restructure

The Board of Artisan is pleased to announce that as a part of a management restructuring, John Alfred Jones, aged 56, has been appointed to the Board of Artisan as an Executive Director with effect from 7 September 2005. John Jones is currently Managing Director of Rippon Homes Ltd, Artisan’s residential house building operation.
Rippon Homes is the largest trading company within Artisan and the Board of Artisan is very pleased that John has agreed to join the board. With his specialist knowledge of residential development, John will make a valuable contribution to the future success of the Group.
The Board of Artisan also announces that Martyn Freeman has decided to stand down as Chief Executive and resign as a Director of Artisan (UK) plc and other group companies with immediate effect. Martyn has been instrumental in the refocusing of Artisan on its core activities of residential and business park development and he has played a significant role in the divestment and realisation of the non core assets previously held by Artisan. Now that this has been substantially achieved, Martyn has decided to pursue further opportunities outside of the Group. The board would like to take this opportunity to express its appreciation for all Martyn’s contributions and wish him well for the future.
Chris Musselle, currently Financial Director of Artisan (UK) plc, will become Chief Executive with immediate effect and will continue the role of Finance Director.
The Board of Artisan is also pleased to announce that as part of this restructuring, the financial controllers of Rippon Homes Ltd and Artisan (UK) Developments Ltd, Frances Harvey and Geoff Lawler, are appointed Financial Director of their respective companies. Geoff Lawler will also continue as Group Financial Controller.
